HOPE KIDS

SETTING OUR HOPE IN GOD

At Hope Chapel, we strive to help our children to set their hope in God. In other words, the goal is to give our children a deep faith in the greatness and goodness of God in Jesus Christ that will endure through the good times and the hard times in their lives. We do that first by inspiring, equipping, and assisting parents in their role in discipling and training their children in a way that honors the Lord (Ephesians 6:4; Deuteronomy 6:6-9Second, at the heart of children’s ministry is basic Bible teaching which is designed to clearly present to every child their need for the Savior, Jesus Christ (Romans 3:235:8). We do this by providing a fun, safe, gospel-centered environment where the truth of God’s Word comes alive through creative and interactive curriculum and activities just for kids. We believe that our children are never too young to learn the gospel and so, along with learning the Bible “stories”, we must always teach our children about Man’s sin and God’s loving salvation and sanctification.

AGE GROUPS

HOPE NURSEY is where we meet the needs of the youngest in our church family. Our time with these little ones – newborn through  grade 1 – is spent singing songs, engaging them in play, and teaching simple lessons about our Lord. This ministry allows parents to worship the Lord unencumbered. Though we encourage families to worship together, we recognize that our children also require age-appropriate teaching. Therefore, during Sunday services, children are released to their classroom to be taught to love God and his gospel by exploring God’s story – the Bible.

HOPE ELEMENTARY & YOUTH is for grades 2 and older. Unlike Hope Nursery,  they will join their parents for family worship during the service. We believe that allowing them to worship with their parents will strengthen spiritual maturity at an early age, as they  see and imitate their parents' earnestness in prayer, joy in singing praises to God, and  hunger for the God's Word. Before worship service, they are encouraged to participate in Sunday School, where they will learn about the Bible through a children-friendly curriculum.

"And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And she took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them."

-Mark 10:13-16
